Details on “Tomorrow Comes Today”.
So this is going to be my BIG update on my debut Trance album “Tomorrow Comes Today”. where do I begin? who knows. But here we go. I want to release this album in 2010, sometime around the summer or fall, because I know I won’t be able to get the album done by the spring. I only have 2 1/2 complete tracks. I’m hoping to get a good amount of new collaborators on this album. I’ve already gotten Pete Murray of Lo-Pro (http://www.myspace.com/lopromusic) which is a BIG deal for me. I’ve always loved Lo-Pro music and Pete Murray’s vocals. He has such a powerful voice, and is an amazing song-writer. “Release Me” (the instrumental) was supposed to be written by Juila Messenger (who worked with Ferry Corsten on ‘Twice In A Blue Moon’ on the track “Black Velvet”) with completely different lyrics. She really enjoyed the song, but once I saw that Pete was interested in working on the song I jumped at the opportunity. I have yet to finished the re-worked Trance version of Xenoc’s song “Turmoil”. The song will fit nicely with the theme of my album, and will be a nice addition as soon as I can figure out how i’m going to approach the song. The album art for ‘TCT’ was supposed to be done by Louis Every (who worked on the alternative album art for Sight & Sound), but he has been busy with other projects so i’m getting my good friend Amanda DeVire to complete the album art. Here is a picture of how its coming out (http://i50.tinypic.com/28l97q8.jpg). My first single is taking longer than expected to be completed. The vocalist I sought after to be on this album starter was Chris Volz of Flaw (http://www.myspace.com/flaw). I grew up listening to Flaw, loving every lyric, and every emotion that Chris put into making the song(s) epic. I was looking to get the Vocals back from him sometime this month, but I’ve seen that he will be on tour til Jan 2010, so who knows when i’ll be getting those vocals back from him. Also i’m working on a re-worked / revamped version of “Feel Your Love” with Liz Aday, and i’m also looking for trance vocalist to re-work the song as well. If Liz Aday’s version is better than the other vocalist I have set out to do the song, then i’m keeping her on it. Come to think of it, the song was acutally going to be sung by Jenna C, but she as well has been very busy with her own career to even try to put her vocals on it. I’d like to say that I am very proud of myself for writing the lyrics to “Feel Your Love”, it’s a big accomplishment for me. My original plans for the collaborations on the album were to have Greg Norris of 32 Leaves and Kenn Coutu of Armchair Cynics on tracks for ‘TCT’ but they’ve been busy and to get Pete Murray and Lori Cunningham on a Sequel track to “Release Me” which would’ve been titled “Release Me Part II” but Pete said that he doesn’t have the time to do that type of song right now because of him and Lo-Pro finishing up there second full length album. So I took it upon myself to totally scrap that idea all together. Instead i’m going to (hopefully) have Pete and Lori do a ballad of some sort, a duet of you will on a new song. I showed them each others music, and they both enjoy each others sound. Which is good for me because getting these two on the same track would sound pretty amazing. I’d just need to create the ‘right’ song for them both. I’m still looking to work with Julia Messenger. She has been busy, and is not responding to my messages, but I can understand if she’s busy. People do get busy! So right now i’m just waiting on Chris to send me the vocals, and for Liz and send me the revamped vocals. Well I guess thats all the update I have for you now! I’ll be updating this probably in December. CYA!
